How to make Spanish Rice

An easy choice for a meal - Spanish rice

Spanish rice is one of the easiest dishes to make when you are pressed for time in the evening and want a healthy meal for your family. It is also one that you can prepare ahead of time and freeze so that you only have to take out the container in the morning and it will be ready for reheating when you return home. It also makes a great lunch idea for reheating in the microwave at school or the office. In fact, it even tastes good when served cold.

You don't need to buy any exotic foods to make this dish because the ingredients are one you most likely already have in your refrigerator. It takes about ten minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to bake leaving you time to put your feet up before you set the table.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients

Chop the onions and green peppers into small pieces.  Break up the thawed hamburger meat into small pieces that will fry easily. Crush the clove of garlic.

Step 2
Start frying

Place a small amount of butter in a frying pan and turn the heat on medium. Fry out the hamburger meat, sprinkling it with salt to taste. Remove the meat and saute the onion and green pepper. Once these are nicely browned, replace the hamburger meat and mix all together letting the mixture fry for a few minutes.

Step 3
Make the casserole

Combine the crushed garlic, tomato soup, water and the Worcestershire sauce. Add in the hamburger, onion and green pepper mixture and then mix in the rice. Place the mixture in a casserole dish.

Step 4
Bake

Bake the casserole in the oven at 350 degrees for one hour.
